Restorative Yoga Session and Special Music…
Experience postures that promote deep relaxation and recuperation. The long held poses will support a strong body, mind and spirit connection with the strategic placement of Yoga props which will encourage the body to release. Props will help facilitate a soma or “living aware” experience by awakening awareness of the body within or silence those overworked areas. We will flow with a gentle movement warm up, subtle body breath work, a unique restorative sequence and finish with a deliciously long Yoga Nidra meditation. You will leave refreshed and renewed.

Jade will be here THIS WEEKEND!!
I’m so excited to have such an accomplished teacher willing to travel the distance (all the way from Florida) to share her knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga. Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding about the practice of yoga and strengthen your personal practice. You don’t need to know Ashtanga Yoga to attend any of the classes/workshops, it’s a learning environment.
Please register online today! We need to have at least 6 students per class for the classes/workshops to make so spread the word and bring a friend!
Saturday. 03.25.2017
Led 1/2 Primary 8:00 – 10:00am
Based in traditional Ashtanga Yoga, this class emphasizes on the Tristana method of breath, bandhas and dristi. This class moves at a slower pace, which allows for more instruction on some of the advanced poses. As we move through the series, you will be encouraged to adapt and use modifications where you see fit for your practice. Half Primary is great for those who are working towards Full Primary, wanting to explore the practice, build strength and increase flexibility. If you have an existing practice then being guided through will help you to clean up in areas where you might be spending too much time as well as fine-tune your alignment. Open to all levels and every kind of practitioner.
Transitions in Vinyasa (jump through to the jump back) 1:00 – 3:30pm
To transition means to move or connect one idea to the next. Let’s be honest with ourselves, we all want that sensation of ‘lightness” when we’re doing yoga. In this case, we will be looking at the movements in a vinyasa practice that weave postures together.Transitions show us the relationship between the foundation of an asana and all the ideas that support it. They help us to gauge the progression of our practice when we are flowing in a vinyasa class, from basic to challenging, by the fluidity and grace of our actions. We’ll break down the jump back to chaturanga in the 3rd and 4th vinyasa of Sun Salutations as well as the jump forward from down dog back to standing. This will help you to understand the underlying components of the jump back, jump through transitions of seated postures and how the backbone is based on a series of 3 main postures from Sun Salutation A. We’ll also explore some other transitional postures and work on techniques to assist you in developing healthy movement patterns. Let’s get lifted!

Spiral and Bind, Bind and Spiral 1:00 – 3:30pm
Did you know that revolved/twisting postures improves the strength and flexibility of your spine? Yoga practice asks us to manipulate our joints in the fullest range of motion. It also asks us to move our bodies in ways that may seem challenging, if not impossible. Spiraling twists and binds are some of the more common poses that students struggle with. In this workshop, we will explore the functionality of the shoulder girdle and muscle actions, the different sections of the spine and limitations. Then apply what we learn to asana such as utthita trikonasana, parvritta parsvakonasna, ardha baddha padmottanasana, maricasana a-b-c-d, pasasana.

About Jade
I started to study yoga when I moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida in 2002. Back then I didn’t know yoga would become my way of life. One day, my teacher told me, “Yoga will change your life forever!” and she was absolutely right. Yoga not only changed my life, it soon became so much more…To me, Yoga now is my lifestyle. I can’t image my being without it. It helped me not only trade my bad habits for good but to look out from under the veil to see all that the world has to offer. Through personal change, I became extremely passionate to share this knowledge with others. That’s when I decided to become a yoga teacher.
I later discovered Ashtanga Yoga while learning and teaching Vinyasa. It immediately captivated me. Through my years of practicing and teaching different methods of yoga, Ashtanga is where my heart remains. Ashtanga is intriguing in so many ways. It brings clarity to every state of your being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. My own personal experiences on the mat have deeply humbling to the core of my being. A reminder that change is impermanence and adaptation is acceptance. And now my purpose is to share, teach and help my students grow on their journey with Ashtanga Yoga.
