Join Arrie at 5:30pm on Friday, September 21
at MGY2 for a special yoga class and meditation.
The autumnal equinox, the transition between summer and fall, is a great time to start or deepen a meditation practice. Much like the trees begin to drop their leaves in the fall, this meditation will help you to let go of things that will not serve you in the coming season.
Place: MGY2 409 East Main
Time: 5:30pm
Instructor: Arrie
Cost: FREE (donations welcome)
**The meditation will follow an hour-long physical practice so if you’d like to stay after and participate please plan for an additional 30 minutes.
Charles MacInerney workshops will be held at our original location, 207 East Main St. Registration for all but tonight’s class is still open so check out the details and sign up for Saturday or Sunday! Here is the link for workshop descriptions.
Next Friday, November 11th, is Veteran’s Day. In recognition of this special day we are holding an ALL LEVELS class on Sunday, November 13th, at 3pm to honor our Veterans. Lou, a USMC Veteran himself, will teach the class.
In January 2017, MGYS will begin a new weekly class, Yoga for Veterans. The class will meet on Thursdays at 4pm. Certified Yoga Instructor and USMC Veteran, Lou Vasquez, will teach the hour long class. Every other Thursday the class will begin early to include a 30 minute meditation led by Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Sydney Kroll, PsD, of Pineywoods Psychological Services. MGYS and Pineywoods Psychological Services are excited to partner and bring this needed service to Nacogdoches. We invite and encourage all veterans from surrounding communities to participate in this therapeutic approach to healing, health, and connection.
Please join us on the mat, Sunday, 11.13.2016, at MGY2 at 3pm. This is a donation-based class. All proceeds will go toward the growth of our new Veteran’s class/program that will begin in January 2017!
